Hey guys,

Was out yesterday for the first time in a week and the fish have definitely arrived! June 15th is often when I say our primetime season begins, and it was bang on this year. A buddy and I went out and were limited out on Chinook by 8:45am, including him losing a few, all the fish were between 21 and 24lbs which is to be expected this early in the season, as July approaches the average size Chinook will probably be about 25lbs. We then went and anchored up for some halibut, even with the tide running hard we were able to limit out on halibut with 53lb and 30lb fish, and released about half a dozen 20-25lb fish in an hour and a half.

Decided to go explore for some lingcod afterwards and try some new pinnacles out a lil closer to home and found a beauty spot where it is non stop action and avg size were HUGE, about 23lbs. Kept two and caught and released the rest for my guests to come catch.

Guys, fishing this year looks to be EPIC, and I really think it will be. Still have June 27-29 open and July 20-22 open, so if interested let me know asap!

Here are pictures of the fish from the day, damn, we have great fishing up here, I'm so lucky it's stupid...love my job :D

What a blast that looks like! Port Hardy has got to be one of my more favorite spots on the island. I even caught my first fish there which was a small coppor, greenish coloured rockfish.

There was a Far Side cartoon with a bunch of cowboys sitting around a campfire at night and the caption read "STOP DOING THAT!!!" it took ages to figure out what it was but then I noticed that one of the cowboys had his legs crossed in an effeminate way.

My point is?

Your first pic with the halibut,, that's some dance step!!!

WoW, I miss living on the coast,, at least the rain is expected. So blue.
