Hi Folks,
I just joined the forum, there's some great info in here.
I would like to take my family for a quad ride, and do some fishing. Looking at the Ghost / Waiparous area, Margaret lake has been mentioned as a good spot to go. I found a few old posts, but not from this year - has anyone had any luck with rainbows there? I would just like my boys to be able to catch something, doesn't matter how big, just something! Any suggestions on what to use for bait would be appreciated too. We do most of our fishing on the coast of BC and the boys have good luck with Buzz Bombs, although I don't think that would be the best choice for shore fishing here...
Thanks!
Mark

I fished Margaret Lake many times in my float tube but have never fished it from shore. Usually had good luck with a brown wooly worm on sinking tip line. I haven't been there for many years though...

It usually winterkills and this year was a cold snowy one. It was stocked in May with 6000 rainbows but they were only 19 cm long.
