I believe that is the name, its a small resevoir type lake/pond. Has anyone ever ice fished there? Just wondering because it is nice and close place to go if I only have a few hours. Hows pigeon looking thickness wise? hopefully going out on New years day.

EDIT:

The big one is between the west and east overpass on the south side of hwy 16. I haven't ice fished there in 3 years but I used to have really good luck with a pickerel rig with velveeta cheese balls. Same rig in the summer.5 years ago I talked to a biologist out there and he said ther were probably 10lb plus trout in there. I have a nice 7lber I decided to mount caught from there. Also people have said that the enviromental center here in Veg put their trout in there after they done donig whatever it is they do to them. Walk on only there is open water from airerating.

im not sure bout that one....maybe look for tracks or ask some guys out there...if your walkin on punch a hole near the edge and check depth...didn't notice any springs or anything in the summer!

I DO NOT recomend fishing here at all. The thin ice sign was up, kind of, it hwas covered by a black cloth bag. (the same one thats there in the middle of summer). So we figured we'd just go out 5 feet and check the ice, it was about 18-20 inches thick. So next we tried 15 feet out, still 18-20 inches, so we decided to put down our lines and give it a try. Well there must be a spring or source of warm water somewere in there because we heard some cracking, so we got out of the tent and looked, and CRASH the ice breaks about 7 feet beside us.
