I'd also like to know how it's doing.2 trips there so far and only caught 26 the first time and 16 the 2nd time. That was two guys fishing for 8hrs each time. Last year we never pulled less than 150 out of the lake in one day.Wonder if the netting in february has anything to do with it?

I really doubt the netting has anything to do with poor walleye catch rates....there were only 41 kg of walleye taken out by the commercial nets this year.

:shark:easy, easy........ not callin him a liar or anything, lol, just sayin if it was netted this winter that its "hard to beleive " only 41 kg were caught. i know they are targeting whitefish, but youd think the incedental catch of eyes might be greater. couldnt have been to many nets.

From what I have heard, therewere not many nets - mostly due ot the flood water. Howeverthe ratio of walleye to whites is always extremely low. The nets are only laid in deep waters - not typically your winter area for walleyes. The mesh size would also have a big factor on the catch rate.

True they were going for whites, but there was also a quota of 750kg of walleye and a little more for pike.nowhere near the 50,000pd quota for whites, but big enough.still never got an answer on how it's fishing now.just wondering?

150 fish in one day...?

anyways the 2-3 lb walleye are still there and still plentiful.. although I wouldn't set my expectations that high.
