Just wondering if you can have a gas motor on your boat well using the electric motor on a electric only lake, as the company that i bought my boat from bolted the moter on. any info would be great thanks.

a guy i know got in trouble because of this. the answer is no as one of the reasons for the gas motor ban is the leakage/spillage . i cant remember what he got fined

The way I understand it is if the gas motor is in the water, you are liable to be fined. (Running or not) If you have the motor tilted up and out of the water, you will have no problems.

A guy I know just got a new 18 ft with a 125 merc on it. It has the electric trolling motor head bolted to the fin just above the big motors prop. Wonder if that is ok? Perty cool set up.
