Hey guys,

In cow town for a few days and would love to get some flyfishing in.
What's your take on the bow?? Too high? Fast? Murky? Any recent success?

I'd like to hit near the highwood.

Thanks in advance :)

She's running high and looks like chocolate milk still. Not saying that some won't toss a line out there and the odd fish will be caught. But it's certainly not optimum time. With all the snow pack in the mountains being 100% or more over normal it's going to be quite some time before the river drops significantly. But as I said some people will fish it no matter how it looks.

The bow looked a little less turbid to me on Wednesday than Tuesday. It blew my mind how turbid glenmore res is. I was hoping the outlet (elbow) would be running clear. I'm optimistic about wetting a line atleast. Any suggested patterns for the murk?

The bow at bowness park is so high the erosion barriers are under water, so I cant imagine that east part of the river would be any better.

Anyone fishing the Bow these days should take extreme caution. It's about as high and fast as it gets, and full of debris.
