Okay, so I don't have all the riches in the world. But this year at the boat & sportsmen show I got in touch with Riverside Yamaha in St. Albert. Well it just so worked out that I was able to get a new G3 Guide V143T. It is a 14' aluminum with new custom Bear Trailer and I put my existing (or old) 1993 Yamaha 40 hp 2 stroke on. What a unit!! I love this boat. It handles great, the motor works awesome and top speed is estimated between 35-40 kph.
Great out of the hole, lots of storage, and an all around great starter boat. Although I had a bigger 16' fiberglass before, this boat is soooo much better.
I really have to give props (no pun intended) to Andrew at Riverside Yamaha in St. Albert. He worked with me to get the boat I wanted and the level of service I recieved from him and the rest of the staff there was aweomse!! These G3 boats are pretty well know in the states and hopefully they will become so here as well. Riverside really looked after me and got me on the water with an awesome little machine!!!
I've attached some pics. If you see my Autobot boat (got the Transformer decal for my son) out and about on Edmonton area lakes, come say hi!!
Tight lines everyone!!
