I had a wild fishing trip on the Raven River. This is just some of the pics from just an hour one morning with some family members. Enjoy

wow...whats this all about. You kept wayy to many for a small creek where its challanging enough to find big fish...you just ruined the next generation of bigger trout...Thanks for poaching man

We had more wilderness in the 80s also and less fishing pressure. Fish are a valuable resource and need to be protected by regulations, and thoughs regulations have to be followed if we want to preserve this resource

Thats is impressive alright. There is no question our fisheries are piles of sh*t, but what boggles me consistently is how we have fisheries at all...

All the fish were measured and were over 16in which is just a touch over
40cm. For all the poaching comments there was 4 of us fishing so we could have actually caught 1 more fish to fill our limit. I am happy to see that people care though and I love fishing and would never do anything that would affect the fishing species. We were catching on little green spinners if anyone is heading to the Raven anytime soon.Good luck. Here are some of the pictures agian. I am downloading them from my phone so hopefully they work. These are brown trout as well, there are bull trout, grailing, suckers, and I think whitefish in the river. Bull trout are catch and release though

Hey Slawton, wouldn't mind seeing all the pics that everyone was chirping before. Why don't you post them up again?

I thought there were 2 other pictures initially showing 6-7 browns on a stump and another one with a big fishing rod and big set of pliers next to another really nice big brown?

Hope you get caught buddy, you cant honestly be that stupid to post pictures of poached fish. If this weren't a family forum, i'm sure the words wouldn't be too kind coming out of (my and other members) mouths.

Good job. Dummysticks.

Slawton,

I doubt you are Stupid like others mention. But obviously you did not check the regs beforehand. If you knew the regs you would not have posted to show off your catch. Obviously you now know the regs hence the removal of your pics.

I hope that you do suffer the consequences to remind you that the regulations are in place to protect our fisheries and ensure that our fisheries are maintained at the quality level they are.

Next time check the regs, follow them, and understand why they are in place.

any updates on this

I doubt that these fish where caught out of Stauffer more like the south Raven, as in his post he said there was bull trout in the stream....doesn't matter which creek but i am guessing the south raven
