I said hello today to an old friend today

I originally posted in spring that I thought ALL the old stock of trout were winter killed in Beaumont. I threw out a "copper john" and I brought one in probably from last year or before that . She was well over 12 inches with no spots. I knew something was different when she grabbed on. Anyway we said hi and shared a few laughs and I put her back. Nice to know a few are still left.

I caught a couple there this morning. The one was this years stock and the other one looked like he was a well fed 10 incher or so caught on my "last cast" of the day with a very slowly retrieved spinner. I wish I knew they were biting on slow moving spinners 2 hours earlier.
