well went into pickle jar on saturday. For starters it was damn cold, still snow up there in the shadows, and surprisingly there was still alot of snow up on the rock and scree slopes.
Any how onto the fishing. fairly steady, had tons of followers right to your feet. Swarms of ten or so little guys ( < 4" ) would follow flies that wouldnt seem possible to fit in there mouth.
But nothing of size whatsoever. Biggest caught was 8" and didnt see anything bigger than that in the first lake, and simmilar sized in the third. Sad to see that there are no more 12"ers in there. The visibility in the water was superb and there really was not anyhting of size around.
All in all it was a good day. saw a moose on the way in and moose dropping on 3 differnt spots on the trail. Also saw some smaller cat tracks. not to sure on the species but im thinking maybe a lynx? or perhaps a small couger?
