Skeena Fishing Trip.

Just got back from our annual skeena river fishing trip, Fishing was very tough, weather was cold and windy but it was a blast as usual, Went to early this year, We went on the 1st of july and come back on the 10th. The river was high and the water was pretty dirty. The river dropped a meter in the 10 days we were there and it started to get pretty clear. The fishing picked up towards the end ans was able to catch a few nice ones, my buddy slammed them but for what ever reason i sure struggled, Theres always next year. Anyone thinking of going now will hit it just right. heres a few pics of a few salmon i caught.

I am heading into BC this weekend and next week.
just starting to research where to go fishing and such.

Never really fished BC at all.

Great fish, what a river the Skeena is!

We just fished the Skeena on Wednesday and between two of us we landed 14 springs. The largest was 36 pounds down to a small jack spring. If the water stays down fishing will be hot.

Thanks to all, There were some from Germany tring but i think they were tring for Sockeye. Not sure if you can even catch chinooks on the skenna with a fly rod. They are not eating so not sure how that would go down.
