Hello all I am heading down towards Carsland this weekend to do some fishing. Just wondering about water levels, color, clarity and what is hatching. I am hoping to get into a few of those ellusive Browns on the fly, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

try Dry stones in morning tight to the shore and stone nymphs in the seems.
stimulators in Black and Orange is my favorite colors. yellow works great too.

for browns i always fish streamers i only use nymphs if i can see the brown.

for streamers sculpins and clousers work.
favorite colors are brown in differnt shades.
clousers grey and olive.

fish these streamers with a down and across swing and constantly stripping unless you can see hes not taking it then just dead drift it and theyll usaly hit it.

most of the browns are less then 15 feet from shore and mostly right beside the edges sipping on hoppers and stuff.
