Looking for some suggestions for good fishing spots in this area

Not really interested in small stocked ponds where there are people shoulder to shoulder e.g. Mt lorette, sib bald meadow, Allen bill etc

I'm particularly interested in people thoughts on fishing areas within Banff national park

Well if you want a challenge then hit lake minnawonka.
You can rent a boat or hire a charter.

Minnewanka is tough - tried renting a boat there and off shore but never had any success with either fly, spin, or jigging

Also tried Two Jack with no success - caught a few decent rainbows in Johnson though (16 inches)

Try Bow Lake, on the Hwy near Lake Louise. Small Lakers from shore. We used to use smelts, if they are still legal. Or troll Raps if you have a canoe or rowboat(no motors).

Johnson Lake-Lots of easy to fool brookies.
Find a pile of logs and fish it for the brookies.
theres supposted to be big bows in Johnson too.
the creek that joins the creek through a water fall holds brookies.
the main creek holds bigger brookies then the lake haha but very hard to get because the river is full of logs.
