Whitehorse?

Going up to Whitehorse middle of August for a week, got it sorta planned out, any places to hike to from town to catch anything?(Booked afew day trips further out, but wondering)

Spent three wonderfull years posted there with the military (95-98) You can catch Greyling right from shore right in town till you are blue in the face. There will be salmon in the river at that time as well but you can't deliberatly fish for them and if you do hook one it has to go back. Greyling on an ultralite are a blast. There are also a couple of ponds out towards the dump that used to be stocked. Some had Char due to a leak at one time from a comercial hatchery nearby. Ask the locals and I am sure they can put you on to some good fishing. Now if you know someone with a helocopter, JOJO lake is hot for lakers.
