Hey guys on the 30th, I leave for Nova Scotia and will be stay very close to the Margaree River on Cape Bretton Island. I understand that im there too early for the big atlantic run up the Margaree and my question is do any of you have experience fish around hereand have suggestions of places to fish while im there? Any species, smallmouths, brook trout it doesn't matter. Also I read some where that there is a population of atlantics that stay in the margaree all season long any truth to that?

Also forgot to mention that i will be armed with a fly rod and prefer moving water over lake, but i could sure use suggestions on lake as well.

Lots of mackeral to be caught in the atlantic and a barrel of fun while doing it . You don't need a big boat either, check with some of the local guys for a few tips,, maybe even catch a ride out with one of them, pretty friendly bunch down there.. Look up a Don McNiel, my wifes cousin .

You for sure are not gonna have a hard time finding places to fish in the Cape.
