planning on driving to cgy tomorrow evening to fish. spend the night and fish the early morning and head home. maybe mckinnon flats, not sure yet. any sugestions for a cheap motel? anything is better than hotel dodge(providing i dont catch the itchies from the place) thanks for the info. even if u can think of a place for a tent, but motel is preferred.

you beat me to it,,, but when you ask for a room, ask the price, they will say $140,, you will then say, oooh, uhm do you have a discount room? and they'll give you the same room for $40 off.

I always like the holiday inn express on lake fraser drive 12025, 30 second walk to fish tales if you are a fly fisher. They include a hot continental breakfast which is awesome if you want to wake up early and catch the early morning rise! 8 and a half minutes from fish creek (timed)

x2 on deerfoot inn and casino, there is also another hotel next door. oh and did I mention the food is amazing :) Great location, 15 minutes from policeman flats, 5 minutes from nice pools below douglasdale, 10 minutes from the dog park pools off heritage, and 30 minutes from princes island park, all driving of course.
