North side of Hwy 11 Abraham Lake. Go until you cross Allstones creek. Park just past there, hike up along trail which is on north side of hwy. Fairly steep, but pretty short.

Fishing is OK, spin fishing seems to produce better for some reason (I hate that I have to admit that). Nothing really big.

I was there last summer, 3 brookies that day, largest was 10". I was using spin casting gear, didn't catch anything on a spinner or spoon. Caught all 3 on a fly and a bobber. Very nice lake, enjoy the hike.

It is a beautiful hike into a pretty lake. You won't be disappointed Shawn. Even if you don't wet a line.

I marked it on the map. There's an area to park across the highways from the start of the trail. It overlooks a nice cove where the creek drains into Abraham. Let us know how it goes, I may head up there sometime near the end of August.

Young whipper snapper like you could probably make it in under 2 hours. I took the scenic route in 2 weeks ago (detoured to the top of Allstones Ridge) and then fished the lake on the way out. Walked out in 80 minutes.

It's a long, uphill trail but if you don't pack a lot of junk its not too bad. Take waders or a belly boat if you are serious about fly fishing, tough to find places for a backcast. I did catch some shallow cruisers on a muddler.

They are typical stunted brookies.

All noggin.
