Hi all,

I'm taking my 3 year old fishing with my wife tomorrow. I usually go for perch or pike but I know that good trout fishing would be very exciting way to introduce my son to Ice Fishing. He loves telling stories about fishing but his mind can be easily distracted if things get to slow so I want to take him somewhere I know he will know when they bite (unlike sneaky perch) and are a little quicker than pike. I have never personally been there but have heard great things and this would be a great day to try.

Any advice or insight to the action at Carson would be greatly appreciated. I want to make my sons first trip a good one (I know all trips are good trips but I would like him to experience a "tight line" as they say).

Thanks
Kelly

Looks like you guys had a good time. Cam looks like he learned to concentrate on the line just like his uncle (ME). Carson was definatly a good choice for his first trip out. Wish I could have been there.

Looks like your family had a good day on the lake, well done. The wife and I are heading to Carson Sat. morning. Never been there, don't know what to expect. Any advice on what depth to fish?
Thanks
Doug

Looks like everyone enjoyed it. To me, the days like that growing up mean so much more now than they did back then.
