well yesterday only saw a sucker on the end of the line. Was about to hit it again today and the storm rolls in, guess should of went. Couple of questions if you may please, how heavy is the weight that you use? Are you chucking it out far, snags are killing me? Do use that 3 way swivel set up and length of that leader? A humble thanks in adv.

Very nice Andy.... that spot is producing like crazy this year.

I heard that yesterday as well.. An 8 year old kid pulled one out near Redwater with his dad, that was just over 50lbs.

Yeah he loves going now you should see him when his bell rings he's up grabs the rod sets the hook and starts reeling like a mad man, and if there is no fish there all he says is bad fish. Very funny.

50th street south of the NSR, follow it all the way north till you hit the river. Park in the parking lot then follow the river east to where the water spills out of the goldbar plant. I've caught goldeye, walleye, sauger, and a bunch of different suckers there. Never did hook a sturgeon there but did see one jump.

This thread is obviously being looked at by Sturgeon fisherman.

I am not into Sturgeon fishing, but I drive by the Redwater river on a regular basis.

The old timers in the area say they used to catch sturgeon out of the Redwater river.

The Redwater river is very very high this year. The old timers say that is good because the sturgeon move out of the NSR into the Redwater river.

For what it is worth.

Maybe one you sturgeon guys might want to give the Redwater river a try.

Best wishes
