With all the talk about brookies lately, thought I'd get out yesterday to a small stream and target some brookies. Here's a few pics. Brookies are sure beautiful with their multi coloured spots. Oh ya, the big boy on the rock I took home and ate for all the fish handling critics out there. He was yummy.

Awesome. Brookies are my favorite fish. That's why I always go to chickakoo lake. Looks like an awesome day and place. One day I will have to try stream fishing. Good job!

I think pound for pound that Brookies have the most fight. Also, they taste the best.

Look by far the best too :). I want a tattoo of one somewhere. Still deciding. Very elusive as well.

Yep gotta be stealthy. All I'm gonna add is I've seen PMDs flying around on 5 different southern AB streams this week.:)

I only spincast too. Never flyfished before just read fly fusion magazine faithfully and imagine alot. Wish I could go to a good small little stream where there are trout in good numbers where a spincaster would have a chance at a nice fish.:)

i went to victor lake near grande cache today and used a bobber, walleye rig, and worms. it was really windy but the fishing was okay and we got a total of 5. it really reminded me about how fishing can be simple and it was the most fun ive had since the last time i went fishing.
