Opened her up and nothing but fluid in her stomach. Very little eggs. I'm thinking she was either sick or had a hell of a time hunting for food. Any ideas? Usually this time of year the mammas are riddled with eggs.

As my first post, allow me to say congrats on landing that fish !
I think the girth problem lies in that cloudy eye. Could be a number of different causes, as to how it happened.
I just started ice fishing this season, but have fished Travers before the ice came.
We haven't made it back yet, been to Pine Coulie / Crawling Valley / Spray Lake so far... Going to Lower K this weekend !
