Any Trappers looking for a great deal on a used Skandik?
 

I found some, used, virtually new! I bought a 2010 550 Skandik with 82 km on it for $4500. He has another one, 2010 Skandik with maybe 500 km, a 2011 Skandik with a 600 Ace under the hood, and a Skidoo expedition either 2007 or 2010 with 500 km on it.

Isn't that funny? A 6-7 year old machine with 82 km on it?

How did I do? It is an older machine but like new... $4500 a fair price? Way too cheap? I don't know... I'm ignorant. I am just an ignorant, fat trapper.

That seems like a good deal Marty. There's more low KM snowmobiles then cars but that real low. Folks buy them then don't ride machines I guess. But i do about 2500 km a winter I love snowmobiles

Marty i'm in the market for a new WT snow machine. Were is this guy at? Are they hot some times to much of a good deal is just that. Sorry to think that way but a guy has to be care full these day.

They belonged to some oilfield outfit that does first aid - medical. The machines just sit on site for the most part on a trailer. Probably on oil rigs that are in the bush so if medical emergency plus too much snow they drag the wounded to the road behind a sled????

Beats me, all I know is they belonged to this medical outfit and they never used them much. I almost took th expedition but instead took the Skandik. I usually never have all that far to go and I so far never drag big loads. I hate the yeller colour, but cross my fingers, won't use it much and can always upgrade later if the HD work sled isn't for me! Can always sell it to a real trapper!

Guys what town/city etc for the medical company, or send me a PM on details as my old polaris/like me may not make it thru the winter.

Probably a snowmobile dealer picked them up for resale to us at much higher price.
