Trudeau broke ethics rules but there are no penalties imposed

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trud...khan-1.4458220

The outgoing Ethics Commissioner said that he broke the rules, but there are no fines.

Simply amazing!

kevinhits 12-20-2017 02:41 PM

No fines but hopefully this tarnishes his supposed reputation and eventually his exit next election...Who voted this clown in anyways:bad_boys_20:

elkhunter11 12-20-2017 02:49 PM

And by next week, this will be forgotten, and he will be hack to breaking the rules again. He is so arrogant, he doesn't care.

dmcbride 12-20-2017 03:02 PM

Wow,

For the first time in History we have a Prime Minister and Finance Minister under multiple ethics investigations and both have already been found guilty for some of them.

Real Change.

JDK71 12-20-2017 03:19 PM

not a surprise from him

Zip 12-20-2017 03:28 PM

Trudeau has broken multiple rules that would have put us normal folk in a jail cell..since he has been leading this once great country...we are headed in a downward spiral much like a toilet flush...how come the news seems to quit on most of his improper ways..like that bunch of money over seas that he was tied to, that was only in the news for a coupla days..then nothing ever done or even heard about since..don't we have people trying to hold this government in with tighter reins, or is it just a free for all once voted in..kinda makes a guy go...ummmm!
Zip:)

Sundancefisher 12-20-2017 03:33 PM

self righteous rich crooks who live off trust funds, make tax changes that don't effect them, preach that they are better than others and then quickly get caught with their hand in the cookie jar then say poor me...not my fault...misinterpretation...we should all learn from the mistake.

Give me a break. We should learn all right...that he is just as arrogant as his dad and his party.

Pointing at others to distract what they themselves can't stop doing.

Sick.

I'm sure it wasn't done on purpose (:snapoutofit:), but the damaged is no doubt diminished a little bit since most people are busy with the Christmas holidays at this time of year. Flush the Turd in 2019!

He ought to have known. Thoughts of grandiose entitlement, dancing around in his head, is not a defence. You can't go easy on this stuff...

airbornedeerhunter 12-20-2017 04:51 PM

I've said before that Justin Trudeau is what is referred to as a "useful idiot". The party brass knows full well he is an imbecile but he's the Teflon Don of Canadian politics.

That being said this will follow him, he is the first PM in history to be found guilty of multiple violations by an ethics commissioner, he did his best today to stay on script and keep to his talking points but the fact that he was only provided with the report 1 hour before it was made public was evident.

The best part of his mea culpa was when, quite surprisingly, his head cheerleader at the CBC Rosemary Barton speared him senseless with a razor question and he stood there stammering for close to 30 seconds and could only muster a poorly worded platitude that didn't even come close to what could be seen as an answer.

Bottom line is this, we have a PM who grew up in this setting, surrounded by money, celebrities, millionaires, private jets, island vacations and absolutely zero in the way of a common sense compass. Of course he went to the Aga Khans island- its what he knows, he thinks everyone has annual $200,000 vacations. His arrogance is astonishing- what did we expect would happen?

My thoughts exactly but hey didn't the Libtard appoint the "ethics commissioner.....:fighting0074:

elk396 12-20-2017 04:56 PM

He probably didn't realize it, because he's actually that dumb. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth so how can one blame him, I'm sure he felt entitled. It seems many Canadians just turn a blind eye to this guy, still find it hard to comprehend that he was elected our PM, although has been a lot of surprising elections lately. I don't think this will hurt his ratings for long, he'll slap on a new designer suit and the masses will be drooling. Sad, but that's what matters to many Canadians these days.

An excellent synopsis, all very true.....and he will be re-elected in all likelihood, expect to see him for another 6 or 10 years stammering and lying his silver spoon off. The simple truth is, he doesn't get elected by Albertans, he doesn't care about Albertans, and he doesn't need to. He gets elected before the polls close in Manitoba, by his the electorate in Ontario and Quebec (to a degree). And they like him, a lot. Even now. And they will continue to do so. Andrew Scheer will not be elected by the Eastern provinces, simply won't happen, no matter what we in Alberta/Sask think of him.

I think the best we can hope for is that our Kirpan wearing friend from Scarborough steals enough votes from him to set the stage for a liberal minority government in 2019. At least this will force Trudeau to present common sense ideas in the house or he will never get anything passed though parliament because the NDP will hold the balance of power. Maybe even better, a minority government could be such a blow to his massive ego that he will resign, unlikely but one can hope.

Pretty much how I see it as well. The Conservatives are an Also Ran party for the foreseeable future.

Maybe he will shed a phony public teardrop and apologize.

He's the leader of a sect of shia muslims, a generationally wealthy muslim Prince with an estimated inherited fortune of more than $800 million. Pierre Trudeau was one of his lickspittles and of course it is a matter of public record the extreme admiration that Justin Trudeau has for members of the muslim faith. This coupled with Trudeau's jet setting trust fund upbringing and life before entering politics and then thinking that it was OK to accept free private air transportation, free accommodations, food, beverage and island amenities from the Aga Khan, the chairman of a registered federal lobbyist which is clearly against the grain is what resulted in his public shaming today.

wolf308 12-20-2017 09:09 PM

Thanks ABDH, man he's a piece of work , our great leader. Wtf is up with him and muslims and protecting them and Syrians and isis fighters. Lol ,hope he catches an IED from a Syrian

purgatory.sv 12-20-2017 09:14 PM

Many news feeds, but only a maximum fine of $500.00,will this be enough to potentially influence a change in federal representation?
