Benelli MR1

Does anybody know if the MR1 is available in Canada? Also is it restricted? Shouldn't be, since it's definitely not an AR, though we all know what that's worth.

All I know about them is that they only come with a 16" barrel which automatically classes this rifle as a restricted.

If Benelli were to make it with a 18.6 barrel you should be good to go though and the suggested price on their web site shows it at $1299.00...

It is one futuristicly fugly rifle though especially that front sight but if it is a shooter I wouldn't care.

I just got the new Wholsale Sports Catalogue for 2010 hunting, the MR1 is listed for a little over $1500 with a 20 inch barrel. When I asked the guys about it I got the "Its on the restricted list". I say BULL cause I found a few websites with it listed in the non-restricted section only.

Seen one at the Outdoorsman in Med Hat, i think it was $1500 and change, non-restricted.

Yep. Non-restricted w/ a 20" bbl. The only complaints I have heard/read about thus far is that the stock is a little awkward for a proper cheek weld when using optics.

I have seen 2 in Calgary, one at Pro-line, one at the Shooting Edge. Very nice guns $16-1800, 20" brls, non restricted. The fit and finish were great, the barrel looked a little thin though. A guy at The Shooting Edge told me they were going to get another one for rent at their range, would like to shoot one.
Amost bought it right there but went for the RB XCR instead.

There was a review in Rifle Shooter, I think? The guy was not impressed by the layout nor by the accuracy with it hovering around the 2-3 inch range. I think saving up and getting the XCR is a far better choice, especially with the caliber switchup options.

RB XCR 1.5 to 3" groups, 5.56" has hunted the most dangerious game on the planet for the last 40 years. The rocket Sci. deem it un fit for deer though?
Funny when your killing humans 2-6" is ok, 1-3"moa is un-exceptable for Deer?Elk, Moose, Sasquatch?
POUND SAND!!!!!!~!!!:fighting0074:
