Savage 110 308 favorite ammo

Does anyone have a savage 110. Ideally the stainless Apex storm. Just wondering if anyone has found that it has a favorite type of ammunition. I've tried herters and federal hi shok so far and can't get it to pattern. Just wondering if someone here has experience with this rifle or similar so that I don't go down the rabbit hole of buying several different brands.
Thanks

Barnes ttsx 150gr or 168gr
Nosler partition 150gr

Whatever factory you can find using those bullets as they are not reportedly sensitive to seating depth, and should work in most standard barrel lengths/twists

Check your mounts and action screws.

Right on, thanks. Wolverine in red deer has all of those in stock so I'll give them a try.

Screws are all torqued and scope is properly mounted with lapped rings so I'm confident that ammo is the culprit

My first suspicion would be rest and shooting form , but if you have other rifles that you shoot well with your setup, then it could be ammunition. If you have one of the package scopes, they are also prone to failure, a friends 110 package scope failed almost immediately.

One other thing, make sure the fore end isn’t touching the barrel. Some stocks will flex/touch just enough to cause flyers.

165 grain Federal premiums are always a safe bet

Federal Power Shok 150’s
Remington Core Loct 150’s

Make sure the barrel is not copper fouled, these are not usually fussy about ammo. Verify with a bore scope. Good luck.
