I am SO ready for winter! But need (ok, want) a bigger bucket
I just picked this up yesterday.
https://i.postimg.cc/ZnGVbH0z/w130-1.jpg I bought my first loader last year; a 1996 Case 621b. This is a 2010 W130b. 50% more hp, fully computerized so I can't fix anything lol, but in wonderful shape. I am trying to find a bigger or snow bucket, if anyone knows of 1 please let me know? What are you plowing with this year? |
The wife.
Ohhhh, the trusty JD |
Nice looking rig Ken, you will have fun with that. Got a deal at an auction...?
I will be using my trusty husqvarna snow blower again. I hate winters. Looking forward to visiting my daughter in Tucson, she is officially moved and starts work in a week. |
Looks good Ken you'll be much happier with that than a skid steer.
I'd look for a hydraulic swing angle blade about 12 ft. You can windrow to each side or straight push into a pile. I have a Deere loader with 3 1/2 yard bucket but I'd love a good blade. |
Not an auction, a guy I know told me about it at his work.
I used a loader last year and loved it, have regretted selling it. The only thing I really wanted a skidsteer for is sidewalks. I still have the half ton with the 8ft blade, it is nearly free to run and long since paid off. |
Nice Rig Ken! Now you need snow and lots of it. But keep it over your way.
This year I’ll be using an ergonomically equipped snow pushing tool with a 26” blade that I can angle left or right. BW |
I’m gonna buy my wife a new shovel before the snow flys if she’s lucky I will get her some of those traction aids for her Uggs so she can really dig in and take a full swipe with the shovel. All kidding aside I do have a snowblower but only use it for the heavy snowfalls.

Beauty machine Ken! I am still in the hunt for a snow mover this year. Like I said, as of now I am just getting my shoveling arms ready...
|
15 to 18 year old me spent a lot of time in a 621B, oh what I’d give to go back in time.

Just a snowblower here but only use it when we get a big dump, just a shovel most of the time but I don't have a lot of real estate to cover. Agree, can't wait for the snow! Just got the sled all tuned up and a new trailer to haul it around. And a fresh wax on the snowboard, bring it on! Just PLEASE no more of that -30 for three straight months nonsense. :angry3: |

Nice loader Ken- looked at its listing too. |

I was looking at GD but the Voice catalog is not up yet. I know I am going to love the creature comforts of this one, but that old 621b just had massive grunt, and a much bigger bucket. This one is only 3 yards, the old one was 4.5 The old girl was beefy! https://i.postimg.cc/9Ft2c1rC/sale2.jpg |
I saw the new holland 130 listing.

Seems to me like Voice must have liquidated A LOT of their equipment already since they only have a handful of actual iron (believe I counted 11). Really only some newer pickups and miscellaneous stuff left.
Moreover just really sucks seeing another big Edmonton based construction company go out of business. Said they owed $36m in debts. Woof. |
Saw that, but no buckets listed yet
|
Ohh I see now they only have Day 2 catalogue up not Day 1.
|
Big old v plow from a highway truck sitting in the bush here for the last 30 plus years. Guess some one forgot where they left it. Might be of some use ????
|
Depends how icy it gets in your parts but a set of chains sure may help you out!!!
But still, you have about 160 hp on my 29 HP Kubota KLT 292 with a 5 foot bucket!!! Drewski |

I would think they will be a future edition at an upcoming Ritchie sale. But who knows, maybe Greggs distributing will get that too. |

Nice machine! Looks like lots of fun

Great machine.
Had the same series machine at work for years. I think the "standard bucket" we got with ours was 8.5 wide and 2.5 cu yd. - The operator wanted a bigger bucket (9 acre yard) and a fair amount of parking lot (hundred cars or so). We bought an extra bucket for the yard to do snow removal. Was 10' and 4.0 yd. Huge improvement and cut the time in half. I can pull the PO on Monday and see what the name of the outfit was, but I believe they are local to Edmonton with Manufacturing here. That was 4 years ago???? We bought new, but they may have used? I don't know. I do know they do rebuild and repairs so it would make sense to ask anyways. |
EZM I would appreciate that thank you. Used is great too.
My next problem I need to work out is lights. A bunch are broken or burnt out, all are 24v. I have some very nice LED lights but a set I want to use are not marked 12 or 24 v and I do not want to burn them out. They are the first I have seen with literally no markings, other than SAE cert. 24v bulbs are crazy expensive, $10 each for 7511 24v (1157 backwards lol, if you get this reference you are old too) and headlights are halogen. |
Back to plowing with my plow truck, snowblower and 2 awesome shovels.... so far 8” and haven’t had to use anything but the shovels lol granted I like it to build up a bit so I’m not chewing up the gravel and pushing it all to one end of my yard.

Nice toys Ken!
