Fresh Shrimp/Prawns in Edmonton
 

Curious if anyone knows a place that sells shrimp/prawns that are intact, not frozen and require you to clean them yourself and all?

Seems like none of these fresh seafood places stock non-frozen shrimp. The only place I have found was T&T, but sometimes their prices don't make sense lol, shouldn't it be cheaper to buy shrimp that requires you to clean it and all?

At Christmas I know Costco has prawns on ice. Maybe call there

I've seen them live, in the tank at T & Ts in Calgary. Haven't seen any other fresh, not frozen ones though. The live ones were around $40/kg if I recall. Not cheap.

I often wonder why people stock their dugouts with trout when it's legal to stock freshwater prawns. There is a company out of Calgary that might have fresh shrimp. Maybe they come to Edmonton too.

Lobster mobsted trailer is at the west edmonton canadian tire every thursday. They have decent fresh seafood

Give Fins Seafood in Sherwood Park a try. They can usually get just about anything your looking for.
