They put a few of the big brood trout in there from time to time but it is really not a "trout destination" as it once was.

They stocked Pike into it some years back but the size limit is 100cm. It does get some attention from anglers targeting pike in the summer. Particularly fly fishing for pike.

any decent sized ones? i remember back when you could catch decent sized perch in there. last few years the ones you get aren't even worth putting in a pan.

The Wife and i had a great time catching Pike there 1/2 dozen times this past summer. Its on my list to fish for pike this winter.

I am not a big fan of ice-fishing in waters where you know that most of the fish will have to be released.

I think (no scientific evidence I know of) that the mortality rate may be higher when you drag an undersized pike up on the ice on a cold day, take a picture of it and stuff it back down the hole.

In summer time when you hook one (especially on a fly rod) you get a great fight for your money and have a better chance of a gentile release (if its not too hot out)
