dickson trout pond fishing for beginners?

Hi all, is Dickson Trout Pond a good place to fish for beginners? We don't have a boat so it would just be on the shore. Any tips on where along the pond perimeter is the best place to fish? thanks!

Even if it got stocked, by this time won't be many left. Catch and keep

How quickly does it get depleted? It looks like they stocked 20000 in May, would it all be gone by now?

It's going to be weedy all around the shore. The depth for the most part is not great and the weeds take over by July. The trout are there but with the weeds to hide in they are hard to catch from shore.

the pond

I park my RV at Glennifer. I have tried "the pond" a couple of times and yes it is quite weedy from shore this time of year. Most people that I have talked to have not caught much in the last few weeks in the pond.

Walk across the berm and shore fish for walleye in the main reservoir, you will have a better time.
