Where do class C's at Pigeon Lake swim about?
 

I was wondering if anyone knows the behaviours and whereabouts of class 'C' fish at Pigeon.

Went fishing at Pigeon last year, of the 40 walleye caught in a day (it was awesome) only 3 were class C. We were North West of the campground boat launch.

They (class c) must have their spot, preferred lure, any ideas?

I find the C's get pushed out of the main area's a bit by the bigger fish. ie If you're catching A's or B's then you will need to go shallower or deeper to catch more C's.

Also consider downsizing your lures. Smaller lures can sometimes get the smaller class C fish. Then again, sometimes the smallest lures catch the biggest class A fish. :)

If you are familiar with the spawning areas on the lake there should be lots of males around and on average they are on the smaller size. They should be in spawn/post spawn for the next couple of weeks or so.

We went out once last year off the provincial park boat launch went through 2 tubs of minnows and half were class C’s. kept our 6 fish we had tags for in about 45 minutes. There were lots that fell In The class B size.
