Minn Kota Built inTransducer

How many of you Minn Kota Terrova owner's use the built in transducer. I had to get adapter for my Garmin 7cv. ($60). Does the side view still work.

If you are talking about using the built in US2 transducer, you can get regular sonar, but no DI or SI while using your Garmin. If you want that with the Garmin you need to mount the appropriate transducer to the trolling motor. Some manufacturers make trolling motor mount kits for this.

A MinnKota with a built in DI or SI transducer will only produce DI or SI images with the compatible Humminbird sonar unit.

I do belive minkota transducers are ment for the hummingbird units as minkota/hummingbird are the same company. If you run hummingbird head United you can have a complete network. But I may be wrong. Some reading on the minkota website should clarify this.
