Does anyone up here stock it? Thanks.

Wholesale sports does or used to in Lethbridge. It would come in a kit from birchwood Casey I think. I use it to fill cracks/stock repair since I found marine tex for bedding.

Just order a 16oz refill kit from brownells. Same price as the little "kits" up here and you know it's fresh.

Thanks all. I think I'm going to do that DG

Rusty Wood Trading out of BC has it also. Its fresh as I just bought some 2 weeks ago and bedded a rifle this morning. Google the name to get the site..

Fresh? Does it have a shelf life? I've had the little kit for a few years maybe 8oz in a 2 component kit, this stuff goes a long way..does it go bad?

I got some a few years ago and the resin was hard. I stirred it for a while and got it back to liquid enough to use but it had a lot of bubbles in it that I couldn't get out. The remaining resin that I didn't use hardened on the shelf in a fairly short time after that, I figure it was old. Think I got it at WS in Calgary.

I just get mine from Brownells. They cannot send the original, flammable version of release agent to Canada, but will send the non flammable version.
Thank you for the reminder. Time for another order.

The resin in acraglas gel kinda crystallizes.

If I'm down to the last little bit, I will put my resin on my mixing plate, and hit it with a heat gun for a little bit, which gets it back normal enough to use and I haven't seen any negative side effects. Then add your hardener and go on as you normally would.

I try to use it in lower stress areas if I heated it (just incase), but I'm cheap and like to use it all up before opening a new batch.

If I may offer a suggestion. I have used many products for bedding, Acraglas, Acragel, Devcon, Marine Tex, etc. My favourite so far and the one that I currently use is the Miles Gilbert Bedrock.

Where can I find this product? Is it a jell, or liquid form?
Thank you

I purchase mine from Flys Etc. in High River for approximately $50.00. It is 2 part, glue and hardener. What I really like about it is that it comes with a powder called "ballons". On it's own it is fairly liquidy which is great for letting it flow into tight spaces. You can add the ballons (powder) to achieve the desired consistency which can be very thick if you choose. You can also get it from Amazon.ca

Let us know how it worked out for you Cat.

As far as bedding a synthetic stock, I don't think there is anything better. You rough up the action real well with a Dremel. Drill angular anchor holes, clean the surface with acetone. Mix the compound without the balloons and pour it into the action so that it flows freely into the anchor holes. Now add the balloons to the remaining mixture and apply to the action channel. You now have a solid base for the action.
