Pick up a 3/4 hp grinder about 7 years ago on sale from Cabelas and have NEVER look back. Fantastic machine.

I'm sure you will enjoy the grinder. From my research I believe the Carnivore is a Weston butcher series built for cabelas. I run the Weston Pro Series number 22. It's 2 hp and is a beast!

Figures his would happen. I just bought an LEM big bite. I wanted a Cabela’s but have no complaints, the LEM is quiet and works faster than I do.

When making sausage with these, is it still the same technique where you have to press the meat in and with the other hand hold the casingso it fills correctly?

I have a sausage adapter, but I have never used it so I can't help you.

My Weston pro grinder broke down three weeks ago. Sale just on time. Picked up carnivore 3/4 hp today.

Iskra which one did you have? How old was it? They have a 5 year warranty. Also the Pro series have higher HP.
