It has been many years now, Spent a couple afternoons, fished the spillway into the Battle River. Good fishing if its open.

One old guy told me there should be carp around forestburg(south east of edmonton). I've heard many stories from him about it. Is this true guys?? What are you usually catching?

Perhaps Pike, Walleye or Burbot is what I'll be catching.

Anybody ever try Buffalo Lake? If so, any luck. A co-worker of mine is telling that there isn't anything in Buffalo Lake.

I've been fishing the central area for years and a few of my favorite spots are the narrows (buffalo lake) usually land a bunch of pike out of there. Big Knife Provincial park, Right under the bridge on 855 is usally a great spot. The ATCO Dam Spillway is usually a great hole for Walleye and pike. I usually stick to the Rapalas and jigs. Hope this info helps a little.
