Sea-doo Fish Pro

Made in Quebec by Bombardier. Not likely to see many here in Alberta!

Pushing $20,000 optioned out....no thanks.

I was just looking for something fun and fast and for fishing on ocean and lakes. 20g is not bad. Considering in the world now is super expensive, fully loaded jeep wrangler Rubicons are 65 to 70 grand now, most fully loaded trucks are 80 to over 120 grand. Nothings free and you gotta pay to play.
Was considering two of these one for me and one for my wife |
It's a cool toy... but honestly...not overly practical. I paid 26g for a 21 foot searay with a 5.0 and bravo 3 drive and only 65 hours on it.......that's a tonne more boat for a little bit less and I can take me and 4 of my best friends fishing with all our overnight gear easily! And I can do 55mph.....so ya...cool little boat.
|
That's a pretty nice setup. Would that be practical on rivers? I'd like to do some exploring to get to spots that rarely if ever get fished.

Watch this video
I have been looking at them
Here is a video of a lady landing a sailfish - I am thinking if she can do that then they will handle Alberta fish https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyJZoY0DqZ8 |
With the short summers we have here I don't think it would be very practical. It just screams you are getting wet.
|
My neighbour traded one of his covered work trailer for one of these, he doesn't even fish. Taken out once after he got it and it's been sitting since, guess it wasn't all that fun for him.
I've spent plenty of time an a SeaDoo at the lake just goofing around and I don't think I'd want to be fishing from it. |
Wonder why the video only shows it being used on calm water? Can it handle windy AB?
Looks cool but I'm not sure it would be very practical for fishing. They should make it more like the old stand up jet skis, no seat, just a platform to stand/kneel on. |
For $20,000 you can get a really nice boat, buy yourself a fancy YETI cooler and slap it on the back. lol. What a gimmick. Buy a boat and be done with it.
|
A good option for rivers and getting off the beaten path, fishing where most others would not. Beyond that.....not lake material in my opinion. Cool but pricey, small.
|
These can handle ruff water, fish and play when the day is hot….not everyone’s cup of tea but that’s what makes things interesting…..I inquired about one in the spring and on back order for a year….maybe next season!
Got a canoe, a kayak, a boat and why not this too….I like options! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
i would not be taking one of these up a river unless you hate it or have a death wish.
|
I'd hate to see what a rocky and shallow river bottom would do to that thing. I can't imagine it lasting long.
That being said I saw some promo stuff for SeaDoo making a line of pontoon boats. It'll have handlebars for steering, odd choice in my opinion, so it will probably be a jet drive as well. |
HA showed the OP's video to my wife, first thing she said was cool we need 2. Can't imagine that will happen any time soon.
