Help identifying breed of dog
4 Attachment(s)
We adopted a 2 year old dog from older folks , he had too much energy for them . Lady said she was told he was a Kelpie . He appers a bit smaller 35-40 lbs . I was thinking kelpie /Pomeranian mix ? It's been 2 days . and he's great . He killed a gopher in the back yard . and will chase and catch bugs that get in the house . And will play fetch for like 30 min straight .

Perhaps some Corgi crossed in there?

No problem its a head down ass up dog three times out of four! Three years in the Alberta oil patch and at last retired!

Chihuahua/Great Dane Cross would be about that size. Go with that.

Could be a corgi/heeler mix.

Identifying a dog by looking at pictures is tough .......... but ........ at the end of the day - even if it is a "mutt" you will love your dog and enjoy her chasing away all the critters around the house. Enjoy !!!!

great looking dog. i highly doubt Pomeranian. from what i can see, you're looking at some type of herding dog mix. the ears and white paws remind me of a basenji, but i doubt its got that rare of a breed in it. likely a heeler/cattle dog mix. dogs like yours are very smart and anything cross bred typically lives a longer life than purebred (exceptions to every rule of course). These dogs love outdoor tasks and need space to roam. By the sounds of it, you've already got that figured out!
