Chestemere Ice fishing
 
Hey guys I know I read it on a post here but having no luck searchin......my buddy wants to take his 5 year old son out fishin. He lives in Chest.... and it only makes sense incase things go south......Can some oneshoot me in the right direction on this lake????

Go to the south end of the lake, you'll see people there almost everyday. Find a spot between 6-10 feet deep and put a smelt on a jighead with a stinger hook. Tip up in your other hole with a smelt about 18" off bottom. I've never been skunked there but the pike aren't very big. It's a good spot to get kids hooked on ice fishing, especially if you live in Chestermere.

Why do the fish never grow I've been there over the years more then I can count and it's as if the fish get smaller lol

No Perch.. You can try and I have but I've never seen or heard of one caught since I have been fishing there.
