1905 Shakespeare baitcaster reel

My uncle gave this old thing to me. Wondering if it's possibly worth anything as a collectable? The engraving on the side reads, "Shakespeare 1905 Deuce Model FE".

Send a PM to Catinthehat. He's a reel collector and is very willing to help.

"Shakespeare 1905 Deuce model FK multiplying level-wind reel with black handles. This is a direct drive model and entire reel is of a chrome alloy finish."

These reels were produced in 1951. :)

I kinda thought it was in too good shape to be 100+ years old but at least it's still 60 years old.

Beauty of an old reel.

Looks like a pretty solid reel!

I've got a couple of similar Shakespeare units like that, I put one on an ice rod this past winter to use for pike. Works great, and its alot of fun to use. No drag system on it so you have to use your thumb...

They are a blue collar Baitcasting reel collectable, lots made. It looks to be from the mid 60's to 70's without a closer look. they tend to go for under $40 on the bay. More if you had the box, papers etc. Its all condition, condition, condition. Nice handles by the way, a keeper.
