What is your favorite Corn Recipe?

Friends dropped off a dozen ears, so we did the usual-boiled and grilled Corn on the cob.

But also had me thinking about my old stand by favorite

I make my own creamed corn by simmering fresh corn kernels in whipping cream-then pulse in food processor.
Curry powder has to be Sharwoods Mild:sHa_shakeshout:

Before I even read your post, the title had me thinking about corn fritters from chicken on the way! Mmmm....

Peel.

Toss in the Peacock pens.

Bare cobs in minutes :)

The whole thing is going directly on the grill, unpeeled. Remove the tasks when done and enjoy.

Cornbread for days....

My vote goes to tamales with the filling of your choice. I'll go for beef barbacoa or carnitas. Mmmmm

Just the corn itself. Leave the husk on, throw it in the mircrowave (I know... stay with me), nuke on high 3 minutes per ear. You can husk immediately, but I wait a couple minutes so I don't steam burn myself... the husk and silk all come off in one swoop totally clean. Sweet corn needs nothing on it. If you want butter and/or salt- go for it. I usually cut the kernels off so I don't have to eat off the cob... but do what you like.

As for a recipe? Sometimes a make a mean greek salad to which I add the above corn after I've cut it off the cob.

My favorite corn recipe would require a still and lots of corn. :oregonian_winesmile

The corn fritters look good.

That's how we do them. We'll also do them by wetting the husks (while still on the cob) and throw them in with campfire coals. But, we do need to watch them closely when we do it that way.

This, except I soak them first in water for 20 minutes minimum, just cause.

WOW Omega those fritters look delish. Mine are usually flat and panfried.

I'll try to make those in a few days, but I'm a little concerned with the thermometer, where it says hard crack and soft crack. should I ask about that or just pretend I didn't see it?:thinking-006:

A great recipe I got in the Town of Furnas in the Azores.

Fish out with stick after 2 Sagres beers
Serve with butter
