Kalispell

Howdy everyone!

I am going to spend a day or two in Kalispell, Montana just wondering where can I access the river without hiring a guide.

TIA

We came across the going to the Sun road so the Glacier Park fishing License came with the park pass. So I fished in the Park by going up the 486 north out of Columbia falls all the way to the bridge. Reasonable fishing with 15" being on the large side. Lots of floaters coming down the river though.

There are quite a few access point to the Flathead. One of my favorites is the Blankenship bridge, just outside of Glacier Park.

Blankenship is good, but not the best spot for W&W, much better suited as a boat launch.

If you’re looking for W&W, glacier rim access north of Blankenship off the north fork road is much better.

The Old River Bridge in west glacier is also good W&W access.

Send me a PM with your cell number and I can send you some GPS coordinates.
