First Day Out This Spring
We went out to Pigeon for a couple of hours, and our numbers produced 35 walleye, and a pike. It took a different presentation, but we used our usual jigs and frozen minnows. We were in 12 feet of water, and had fish within a couple of minutes, so we dropped anchor and never tried anywhere else.

Sounds like a fun day of fishing. Buddy of mine was fishing Sylvan this morning and caught a burbot while he was trolling. Hoping I can squeeze in a day or two week after next when I'm on days off. I just upgraded my boat with a pair of Lowrance HDS Carbon 9's, a set of Lithium batteries for the TM and a new 3 bank NOCO Genius charger. Anxious to put it all to the test.

Frank, I had 10 at the boat before Elk had one. I was in his kitchen big time:sHa_shakeshout:

I have a fishing buddy just like you. I call him the Garden Gnome or Anchor Dork. Ptetty much front of the boat and sightseeing the days away. He hasn't spotted 1 reef in Northern Sask from the front of the boat that I didn't see 30 seconds before...from the tiller. Likes to get the first cast off as we're entering prime bays too so I've started backing into them just to hear him whine. |
