I was at Murray Lake this morning....14" of ice where I was but open water farther out.....lots of happy ducks n geese.
No way would I drive on any lake in southern Alberta but walking on is fine.

Mostly pike.....supposed to be walleye, perch in there....of course whitefish.
Never had luck with catching anything but pike, but to be honest Ive never tried really hard for others.
Shallow lake...13ft max, lots n lots of freshwater shrimp.
Water is stained,visibility not great.
