A Book for Hunters

I came across this book on-line and though I have not yet bought/read the entire book I found the part available on line to be enlightening & entertaining.

Well written and may provide some help to those who responded to the anti-hunter thread earlier this week.

Google "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Hunting" by Frank Miniter.

The google results let you read the introduction and first two chapters.

Now I will have to go buy it to read the rest.

A buddy told me about this book so I picked it up the other week and am about 3/4 through. Pretty interesting stuff!! Lots of facts I didn't know, and really shows how unreasonable/uninformed the anti-hunting groups can be!

I don't hunt myself.. yet.

ebooks

I've found a pretty slim selection of hunting story ebooks, but there's a couple of free ebooks at www.gutenberg.org with hunting/adventure themes. Lots by Roosevelt. This site carries free ebooks who's copywrites have expired - lots of old classics.
A real good one there is 'The Man-eaters of Tsavo' by Col. J.H. Patterson written in 1907.

Also, in August, Amazon is releasing William Faulkner's 'Big Woods, the hunting stories of William Faulkner' in ebook format. This book was highly recommended by Bob Scammel in the most recent AO magazine.
