Cast bullets for 450 Marlin

I am wondering if anyone shoots cast bullets out of the 450 Marlin or is this not a good idea? I was looking at some 500 gr bullets but cant find any load data for it.I will be shooting these out of a marlin guide gun. Man I wish I had kept the 45-70 :sign0161: Thanks for your input. wally

cast bullets for 450 marlin

i do not think a 500gr. cast bullet willwork. it will be to long to cycle through
the action,or if you seat thebullet deeper to cycle through the action, you are
taking up to much space for powder.
i use a 420 gr. cast out of my 45-70 and works great.

I never made my own cast bullets I buy them but you can cast your own.As far as a bear stopper I can not comment as I never used them on bears but cast are generally softer
