waterton lakes??

Thinkin of heading there in late june to try for some lakers. Does anyone have any info on this? Have downriggers and equipment to go deep. Is it worth it and is there other trout species that can be caught if no lakers?

Rainbows can be caught from cameron falls to the lake. You can also catch lakers right where the river (from cameron falls) emptys into the lake. There is a shelf there that drops right off.

You can take a boat out but be prepared to row as there is no motors allowed on the lake. I have only fished the falls and the river with success but have seen people pull lakers from shore. It has been a while scince I have been there it getting expensive to fish there but the last time I went we had good success casting right into the falls.
