WEDNESDAY WING Night....Calgary Edition. **TONIGHT...AND WEDNESDAY FEB 7TH**

I will be at Kilkenny's Pub in the NW of Calgary next Wednesday night...they do pork riblets and they are stupid cheap and good.

Anyone wanna meet up?

I will be there regardless so I thought I would throw out an invite to anyone that wants to come and say hello...and maybe this can turn into a Calgary AO meet/greet.

I also would look at doing a wednesday wing night at the Hose & Hound in Inglewood sometime in the future as they have damn fine wings...it just gets really busy there so seating is a challenge.

Anyway, see ya next Wednesday at Kilkenny's around 6 pm!

CaberTosser 09-18-2013 01:49 AM

With a bit more notice I'd have been down for that, but have an obligation already. I'm good for the following week though.

Ruger1022 09-18-2013 01:57 AM

Nice, I am off too.
I'll be down for sure, thats if the wife dosn't have any of her bootcamp/yoga crap going on.

Rumtan 09-18-2013 05:52 AM

Good for you guys.....wing /rib nights are a blast. I hope you get a great turnout. Now you have to have something on your table so everyone knows were you are in the restaraunt.

Kokanee9 09-18-2013 08:04 AM

Thought I would post the address for the place next wed:

The Kilkenny Irish Pub

#500-3630 Brentwood Rd NW
Calgary
Phone: (403) 284-4404

CaberTosser 09-18-2013 09:12 AM

Wait a second, did Jack&7 mean today Wednesday or a week from today? Some people say "next" when they mean the subsequent day following the one nearly arrived.....:thinking-006:

I'm out for tonight, but down for a week from today (to clarify last nights post)

If you want to clarify, use a date! Sorry, I get into too many bizarre conversations because someone can't look at a calendar and say Sept 18 or Sept 25. And if you ask the if the mean Sept 18 they say "I don't know, next Wed."

We used to have AO get-togethers in Calgary a few years back. For the first night, everyone wore something in camo. The waitress asked us if we were going to war

I'm assuming next wed because he just posted that late last night.

In the other thread, he mentioned he has plans for today (sept 18) and that he was going to start a thread for a "next week" (sept 25) meet.

I'll be wearing my BBJ 'special' Speedo.

Seeya then folks!

FallAirFever 09-18-2013 03:48 PM

I am interested. Although the location is a bit tough for me. Living outside the city to the SE and all. Maybe I can find someone to car pool with. Hope it comes together.

BTW anyone East of Cgy the Wildfire in Langdon has a decent wing night. I am usually there but this week I am taking my boy to CAC to shoot his new bow he has been begging me get out and try!

I might add that there is a fundamental problem with the concept of 'Next' Wednesday, anyway. The problem is, you can never really get there. By the time 'Next' Wednesday rolls around, it's not 'Next' Wednesday anymore, it's 'This' Wednesday. And 'Next' Wednesday is still a whole week away!

It's all part of the Time Paradox puzzle. Divide by zero, and you'll see what I mean . . .

To avoid anymore confusion, I strongly suggest we put the whole thing off for a least a fortnight.

Mac ;)

X2

Where ever you go, there you are.

Kaz Dog 09-19-2013 08:51 AM

I'm "in"

Although I can not make a meet-up on Wednesday, September 25, as I am out on my first hunt of the year, I would be willing and able to attend on Wednesday, October 2. I will keep a watch on this thread to confirm a meeting on this day.

coreya3212 09-19-2013 10:30 PM

Gust 09-19-2013 10:32 PM

At the curb, waiting for the wee bus to pick me up. Marjorie the driver says someday I'll find my special purpose :dork:
