Thoughts on the Burris Fullfield Scope

I am looking at the 2-7x33 and wanted to know what others think about these scopes

My sheep hunting partner has for the last 7 years had the Full Field 3 x 9 on his Ruger 77 in 30-06, and believe me it has been put to the test. It has not moved one bit since it was mounted and remains clear and sharp. In my opinion they are affordable and rugged, that being said I have always preferred the Leupold line of products but if I won the sweep stakes I might snob my way up to the Austrian stuff. D.H.

Have three on different hunting rifles that have worked well for me. The Burris 22 rim fire scope is excellent for my eyes as well.

I only have tried the 3-9x40. I did not have it very long and I can not knock it in any way. Good for the price. My only objection was that it did not have a gold ring.

Burris

Have a 3-9 on my 7mm mag. Go to rifle and scope. Scope is clear and holds a zero. Can't complain

I haven't used a Burris Fullfield enough to rate it. However, gun writer, John Barsness, has among many others. In his book, Modern Hunting Optics, he rates numerous scopes in their ability resolve lines at 25 yards in controlled dim lighting. The lowest scoring scopes came in at a rating of 5. The Burris Fullfield II came in at 6+ as did the Leupy VX-2, while the S&B came in the highest at 8.

It means I am in to snob appeal more than practical.

Have used the Burris scopes for 10 years in everything imaginable and no issues at all. Great scopes.
