Chris501 05-20-2015 10:59 AM

albertabighorn 05-20-2015 11:09 AM

Its a great and must read before people voice there opinion. Thx for posting

Diamondhitch 05-20-2015 03:36 PM

The real shame is they anticipated it would go for 1.3-1.5 mil but the death threats scared a lot of people off and not nearly as much was raised for Namibian rhino projects.

Couldn't agree more. They are the first to rip $$$ away from wildlife if it doesn't fit their real agenda of ending hunting - regardless o the affect it would have on species as a whole.

He also co-stars with Jim Shockey in his shows.

getatmewolf 05-21-2015 10:29 PM

bravo CNN!

Very well done, not catering to anti hunters and keeping a neutral standpoint. Well written and I am also happy to see they sent in their own journalist and Corey allowed them on his true hunt of a lifetime.

Strange? I thought he paid a lot of money to kill a rhino? - that no one else could.

Anybody could have done it, even you, just had to win the auction. :)

X2

Roughneck Country 05-25-2015 01:54 PM

Didn't look like he shot it in a pen although I am sure the rhino enclosure was fenced some how.

"Anyone could kill the rhino if they won the draw" is like saying anyone could kill a ram if you drew the cadomine tag. Your odds are stacked but its no guarantee.

That wasn't my point, if you were referring to my post?? Rabbit said that the guy hunted a rhino that no one else could. All I said was that anyone could have hunted the Rhino, all they had to do was buy it at the auction....

Sorry my friend, Rabbit did not say he "hunted a rhino", that would be ridiculous, I said "killed" one. The money for conservation is great and I hope he does use the mount to spread the word on the plight of the animal, but I'll bet you a dollar it never leaves his trophy room unless it goes to an SCI convention for a few days where it would be properly oohed and awed at with him present.

I only know one person who could have bought the animal, we are not all rich nor would many people shoot this animal if it was free, I wouldn't.

No fence of any kind. It was in a national park.

No, not complaining at all, just don't like to see an execution referred to as hunting. For those who do consider it a "hunt" for a "black rhino" on 22,000 km that's fine with me, everyone's idea of hunting is different.

That sounds a bit funny coming from a guy who chokes rabbits.

bruceba 05-26-2015 07:20 AM

^^^^^ hahahaha^^^^^ well played.
So is this Cory guy the same guy everybody was bashing in a Shockey thread
a while back?
