I was surprised to hear there was this much variation in the OD of the tube. That had never occurred to me - but then again, I've always had a professional mount my optics.

Pretty funny blog though - had a pretty good chuckle.

Carl is such a character ...... them Germans crack me up ...

Could the Zeiss scope be 26 mm and not 1 inch(25.4mm)?

I just noticed that you have an issue with Zeiss tube diameter, this scope is for North American market and it is assembled in USA so did not come from Germany I would contact Zeiss USA, could be some mistake it should be 1"(25.4mm) not a 26mm,they should explain it at least or replace the scope, please see what does is say on Box and owners manual, Possibly was for Euro market but I doubt it .
