Anyone chamber for 7X57?

As the title says, any rifle manufacturers chamber for 7X57 anymore?

Model 70 Feather Weight is available as a special run.

CZ makes them.

I think it's less popular now as the 7mm 08 is it's ballistics twin.

Tikka, Zastava, Heym, Sauer, Mauser, Baikal, Cooper, and a whole host of others. I just bought a left hand one the other day.

Prophet River has a special run of 7 x 57 /275 Rigby / 7mm Mauser in Ruger No. 1 with NZ walnut coming in. The 7x57 / 6.5 x 55 / 9.3x62 are the premier old world cartridges that have done it all and still do. Good Luck.

I see Sako offers most of their rifles in 7X64. What's the difference between it and the 7X57? Aside from case length.

7x64

This European cartridge is over 100 years old, and while ballistics are almost identical to the 280 Remington, the case dimensions are just slightly different.

This will give you slightly more zap than a 7X57, but in the real world the difference is hardly noticeable.

I bought one of the winchester model 70 in 7x57 off prophet river this year. I know they have a couple coopers in stock.
I see tradex has Zastava in stock in both L/h and R/h in 7x57.

How much money do you have, will depend on what you buy

SAKO, Tikka, Ruger, CZ, BRNO, Zastava, Heym, Mauser are some of the current ones available

Winchester used to make a sexy little featherweight, interams mark X was another heck of a good one, one hell of a bunch of south american militaries used them.

Bang for your buck look for a second hand one, or I can sell you a lovely little manlicher, double set triggers, only hunted Africa once with it.

Any way you cut it the 7x57 is a darling cartridge, good enough for just about anything on the planet. Just ask teddy and the rough riders or the british in south africa they had there asses whooped pretty good by those tiny little 7mm

I will make note the 7x57 does seem to be happy with the heavier bullets at least in my humble opinion.

Thanks for the info! For some reason I'm really drawn to these old cartridges. I guess I just find them more interesting than most of the modern "new and improved"

If you want one, the Zastavas are about 650 new, and you can get full stocked traditional look or sporter stock. There are even a few used ones for sale even cheaper. The prices go up, way up, from there depending on who you are buying from.

C-GMIC, any chance that pretty little Manlicher is a lefty?

C-GMIC 10-29-2013 07:55 AM
